Three Hearts – A Journey

A Journey is a tale of a year. A year of heartbreak in many forms, and a process for rebuilding.

Watch Your Back

A tale of betrayal, vulnerability and false sense of security. Made with wood, mirror, plastic, fishing wire, paint, gold leaf, bips and bobs, and tears.

Resentment- Release

Resentment is a sticky, oily goo that heads away from the inside. I’ve spent much of my life examining resentment, in myself and others. This was a chance to show others a visual representation of that feeling. Utilizing oobleck ( look it up its fun for the kids), and later deciding on black premade goo because sometimes, art meets science- and it doesn’t work as intended, the viewers interact with the goo and heart to feel how sticky it can be and leaving a black residue behind only to be cleansed with water and a good scrub. On the table lies a book, to write your resentments. Getting them out of the brain, as to release resentment is to first acknowledge its existence. The viewers then place their resentments in the locked box, to be burned at the end of the event. Let go through fire, with more room in ones heart for love.  Made with wood, mirror, plastic, paint, goo, metal and a desire to let go.

Repair

This is the beginning stages of repair. A heart under construction. A mother lost to the heavens, but is always watching and ready to give parts of herself to you.  Repair begins from within, using fragments from the past and new lessons from above. But the urge to keep one safe in the process is required. Hug the heart and know, you are loved. Made with plastic, gold leave, glass, mirror, bips and bobs, wood, paint, gold leave, fishing wire, stuffed heart, and a recent loss of a Mother.
